We love reports like this; from a true non money drive afficionado, John Grey from Victoria, Australia. A fine wolseley restored 'regardless of effort' not by one, but by three consecutive owners!
John writes: The car has been maintained, repaired andrestored over the past 18 years by three owners. The motor has been rebuilt and the bodywork repainted, it has been reupholstered and rewired and the clutch and brakes renewed. Indicators and seatbelts have been added as well as an electric fan and brake booster. It is on limited registration and is used 2 or 3 times a month. The motor is a 6 cylinder, shaft diven single OHC with twin SU carbs, capacity is 2.2L and the transmission is 4 speed, column change. The car has drum brakes and there is no power steering so care is needed when driving with modern cars who can stop and turn better than you. With a rich exhaust note and that flying W on top of the grille the car gets attention and on those rare nightime expeditions, the illuminated Wolseley badge in the grille adds to its uniqueness." Bravo to Johnand bravo to the two ealier owners!
