Okay, we know show and concours-people are suckers for Ferraris. But come on. Haven’t we seen enough of them in the last few years? We haven’t, say the organizers of several events. ‘Pebble Beach’ just announced that Ferrari One-off Speciales (sic) and Ferrari Major Race Winners will form two special classes for this year’s prestigious event. They add themselves: “The most difficult part of the selection process for this class may be finding superbly restored examples that have not exhibited within the past 10 years.” We’d say: go for something else.
More down to earth, and closer to our home, the organizers of the InterClassics Show in Maastricht, the Netherlands, have also come up with their theme: 70 Years of Ferrari. Ho ho. Fortunately this year it is shared with another one: Facel Vega. Needless to say which one we prefer.
