23.155 visitors at third edition of InterClassics Brussels

Press Release

In the last few days, 23.155 buyers and enthusiasts visited InterClassics Brussels. This past weekend, MECC Maastricht organised the third edition of this exhibition at Brussels Expo, an event that has earned a position among the top international classic-car shows. Thanks to ‘The Big Five’, the top five motor museums in Europe that presented their prized specimens in a group pavilion, and ‘Cycle Cars & Grand Sport’ that featured the forgotten history of these lightweight vehicles, the organisation is once again pleased to be able to look back on a successful exhibition, for both exhibitors and visitors.

The BFOV, the Belgian Vintage Vehicles Association, figured prominently during this edition of the event where many clubs were represented at the BFOV Village. This year was the first time an ‘Art Area’ was presented where various artists, galleries and art dealers displayed a very diverse offering of their best works, all featuring a classic-car theme of course. The organisation has received enthusiastic responses to the total offering at the exhibition from the many visitors and exhibitors. The highlight was the official opening by the Zapp family, who has been travelling the world for 17 years, together with Sebastien de Baere (Director of Autoworld Brussels) representing The Big Five, led by television personality Marlène de Wouters. Both themes were naturally also well-received: ‘The Big Five, presenting the European national motor museums’ and ‘Cycle Cars & Grand Sport, highlighting a forgotten motor history’.

The preparations for the fourth edition of InterClassics Brussels are already in full swing. ‘We are particularly proud of the results that we have achieved in just three years. We are looking forward to organising next year’s exhibition on 16, 17 and 18 November 2018 in Brussels Expo’s most beautiful hall, Hall 5.  The exhibition will also take place in Halls 6, 7 and 9,’ says Erik Panis, InterClassics Manager.
