Next week on Thursday the Techno Classica in Essen will again open it’s door to the public. A great show where visitors have a chance to see a countless number of classics. There are not only stands from dealers and clubs, but also famous Motor Manufacturers grab this chance to show off their history. One of those is Audi, who will concentrate on their Quattro that first left the factory thirty years ago. The idea of a sports car with four-wheel drive had come to life during winter testing in Finland early in 1977. The “Ur-quattro” was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1980 when a new chapter in modern motoring history was opened.
