300SL Roadster find !

Peter Porsche strikes again!

California based barn chaser Peter - not to be mixed up with underground artist Peter Pontiac - is using a 300SL Gullwing as daily driver. You may know the car from earlier adventures. Very wise - we think - for two reasons.
One: these cars were made for serious driving and not for cruising at walking speed the fairways of world's finest golf courses. Two: when doing your daily errands with a 300SL you may get in touch with people who have interesting stuff hiding in their back yard. Like the black-ish 300 SL roadster showing above that popped up in a storage locker in Marin, that normally is used for storing other than German furniture. The SL has been sleeping and was garage kept for a mere 25 years. Finally Peter now owns a good SL couple again(!) - both unrestored - to enjoy the Californian climate to the max. The Gullwing is a fab car but it can make Evelyn very-very sad when the weather is fine.
