1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 2 LWB James Young non division 6 light.

We will be UK registering this car when it arrives from Norway.

While most Silver Cloud IIs received the factory’s pleasant but bland “Standard Steel Saloon” body, a steady and tiny market remained for the enthralling custom coachbuilt bodies, personally hand-crafted to individual customer order. Among them was James Young’s design number SC12, a “six-light” example with rear quarter windows and a beautifully drawn rear deck. Despite its size, the car has an unusually graceful, long, and elegant silhouette, and was among the most attractive designs created for the long-wheelbase Silver Cloud II.

Only five examples of this design were made, two of them on left-hand-drive chassis; this being one of the 3 RHD examples making it a very rare car indeed. We will be properly photographing the car upon its arrival in the UK.

The car is finished in Royal Claret over black with grey leather to the interior. The car has resided in a collection in Norway for some past years & is in the process of being repatriated to the UK. This car is unusual in that it was produced as an onwer driver car without division. It needless to say has the usual spectacular James young interior woodwork including picnic tables for the rear occupants.

The car is in nice condition overall having been regularly used & has light patination rather then a show room fresh feel to it.
