The Jaguar XKR Convertible is a striking blend of British luxury, performance, and timeless design. Introduced as the high-performance version of Jaguar’s XK8, the XKR featured a supercharged 4.0 litre V8 engine producing 370hp and 387 lb-ft of torque. This powerful engine was paired with a smooth five-speed automatic transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-60mph in approximately 5.2 seconds, making it one of the fastest Jaguars of its era. The exterior styling of the XKR Convertible is elegant and distinctive, with flowing body lines, a long bonnet, and a classic Jaguar grille. Subtle performance enhancements, including larger alloy wheels, a mesh grille, and rear spoiler, helped differentiate it from the standard XK8 while maintaining its refined appearance. Originally registered on 14th May 1998, this Jaguar was purchased by the vendor in 2019 as a fun car for high days and holidays. Significant investment has been made on this car throughout the vendors stewardship, the catalytic converters have been replaced, as well as the steering rack and pinion, radiator and some suspension work. The leather seats and centre consol have also been re-trimmed, together with some air conditioning work and some welding to the chassis. Most of this work was carried out by Swallows Jaguar in Axminster. Prior to the vendor purchasing this delightful XKR, we understand the timing chains and tensioners were replaced. Finished in the delightful colour combination of Amaranth with Cream interior, this Jaguar XKR is supplied with a V5 registration document, a history file and a current MoT test certificate valid until 11th May 2027.
