This is real carcheology! Read Francisco's report:
At a first glance this small vehicle seems like a regular 1950s van in the style of Hillman or Morris, but quickly we found these easily recognisable wheels from a 1930s Ford model Y. So is this a rebodied Ford? Not at all. If you spot the front grille you can see a 1950s Austin badge located in the center of it, which gives an important clue about the origin of the mechanics. We weren´t able to open the bonnet, but by checking the car's interior (photo 2) we saw other evidence about the origin of the chassis: The early mini steering wheel and just below that the characteristic round pedals from an Austin Seven. According to the owner this car really is a 1920s Austin Seven which was rebodied in the 1950s in the style of the Fiat 1400 B. Well, perhaps the formal lines are not very italian, but the front mustaches and the tail lights (photo 3) are really from one of these Fiat cars!
