It's holiday season again, so why not go out for a trip to, let's say, Osnabrück in Germany. They are selling nice souvenirs there anyway. At least back in the 1960's. This one pictures the 'Hauptbahnhof' or Central Railwaystation on a photo attached to a slice of wood (Osnabrück oak?) with a a tree in relief and some light summerclouds added. But what attracts us most of all are the cars of course. At first glance nothing special but some questions do arise. Is it a Fiat or a Neckar in the forground. And is the second grey VW maybe a Standard? Not many of this spartan version with painted hubcaps and bumpers (an acsessorie now...) and cable brakes were seen those days let alone now.
Have a nice summer. If you consider visiting Osnabruck it my be nice to check this website showing locations there with new and old photos. (photo & text John Elema)
