Architect Matthijs Neven had an interesting youth. His parents lived in various places and took the kids with them. Still they didn't give the impression being rich. This based on the presence of their little Fiat Topolino (or is it a Simca 5) in the picture here, but also later entering New York (the paygate at... ?). The photo above is Willemstad, probably somewhere along St. Annabay. The scan of the slide is not super sharp, still we hope you can identify a few cars (click here for a larger view). The dark green car (1)on the left is probably too hard. The second - a black fastback - maybe Ford(2)? Next one is a prewar model of a ???(3). One further to the right, car nr. (4) possibly a Cadillac with CD (corps diplomatique) plate. Then a Ford(?) pick-up(5) . And car nr. (6) yes the Topolino or Simca. Matthijs is looking forward to hear from you!
