Memories are golden. In our view often the stories are better when they have ripened. Moray Letham answered to our request to dig up some old photos. And this is what he came up with: "I am pretty sure it was 1987 when I was lucky enough to find this Jaguar XK 150 model S not far from where I was living next to the village of Cleish, by Kinross, Perthshire, Scotland. I was driving a XK120 roadster at the time, somebody said 'Oh there is somebody nearby who has an old Jaguar he wants to sell for 2,500 pounds and people keep offering him 2,000 pounds'. I went and knocked on his door, when he showed me the car I immediately said 'Yes please, I will buy it' so excited by my find I took these photos, I am on the right and the previous owner on the left. At the time I had paid 21,000 pounds for the Xk120 I was driving, the most I have ever paid for a car in my life! I had a little money in those days unlike now. Rare to find an S model XK150 RHD can't remember the year... now even that registration number is worth "silly money" :-)
