This fine one-off Coupe was identified by eight competitors as a Lancia Flaminia. It was part of the collection of Mr. Corrado Lopresto which was on dispaly last week at Retromobile in Paris. All corrrect and only different in the details they provided. Most very complete, including chassisnumbers and all. Please check what was written by Alan Specer (Jury), Donald van Mourik, Fritz Hegeman (jury), Till Jauernig, Bernard Correge, Marco Luciano and Hugo Modderman. One detail really struck us. It was mentioned by only one competitor. At the 1963 introduction in Torino (Turin if you prefer) the car had an air intake on the bonnet, almost exactly like we know from the Flaminia Coupe 'normale'. We understand the intake had disappeared at the 1964 show. So the car we're looking at has the 1964 appearance, yet with the 1963 color. Congratulations Marco Luciano, you won!
As you may remember the front was not visible in last week's quiz. Now that we have the front picture available maybe one of you can also explain why the car in its current appearance has round in stead of oblong indicators. If not we will ask the owner Mr Corrado, who we met in Paris. We're sure he can add even more to the history of the car. Thanks for competing and hope to see you back next week for a new challenge!
Congratulations! Dear Marco, please send your T-shirt size and mail address to office&prewarcar.com
