We always like it a lot when people take the time to present their own very special car. Angelo from Holland reports:
"This is our rare 1961 Austin Healey Sprite Mk2 that was converted to Speedwell spec, in the mid 60s , the conversion includes suspestion modifications tuned engine and ofcourse the body modifications. The car was sold new in Holland and is the 640th sprite mk2 produced. The car was restored about 20 years ago and is still like new (never has been driven in the rain!)"
Well Angelo, driving a car in Holland over a period of 20 years and achieving not to encounter any rain is quite an achievement in itself! That aside we love the different look of your Sprite. Anybody out there who can make an educated guess how many of these Speedwell conversions still exist? It was interesting to find that Speedwell still exists, yet no longer in London but in San Fernando, California!
