In the late sixties Holden of Australia created a concept car to study design trends and the then new technologies. Called the Hurricane, it was a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-seat sports car that was a sensation when shown at the 1969 Melbourne Motor Show. In 2006 several Holden engineers took it upon them to restore the Hurricane, and after thousands of hours the finished project is shown at the Motorclassica car show that ends this weekend.
