Last weekend in the garden of the castle in Ludwigsburg, just north of Stuttgart, Retro Classics Meets Barock took place. It was the fifteenth edition of the Concours d'Elegance.
The Ludwigsburg Palace is one of the largest original preserved baroque castles in Europe and surrounded by beautiful gardens, with many blossoming plants and shrubs. The conditions were ideal. Maybe even a little too well, since classic cars and the public were exposed to a radiant sun and temperature rose above thirty degrees Celsius. Thanks to the almost cloudless days the audience could enjoy the show of cars to the fullest. A few examples, a Fiat Aster, a one-off Zagato based on the Fiat 132 Coupe, a Porsche 914-6 Murene, made by the French company Heuliez. Fans of the German brand can read here about this particular car.
But there were also notable American cars, including several nicely restored Corvettes, a Chevrolet Nomad and Kaiser Darrin Roadster.
