You know how it is with Quizzes. They promise big prizes but do you ever hear where those prices land? Not so here at PostWarClassic-PreWarCar. We promised a BIG chance. Next what happened was that much-much more participants entered than we ever expected. So in order to keep chances truly BIG we decided to provide many more chances than the two we mentioned in our first article. Now we give away 14 in total, 5 post-war and 9 pre-war! Changing the BIG chance in a BIGGGG chance to drive through China from Beijing to Shanghai.
Above depicted the five post-war winners. The large picture showing a famous ex-works '56 MGA, known from the Mille Miglia and former ownership of nobody less than Pat Moss. The only set-back: this owner has two other cars to choose from, so we'll keep you posted which wheels will roll him through China. A similar luxury problem is presented by an American owner who has a hard time choosing between his beloved 1952 Fiat Topolino and his corgi dog's favourite: a Porsche 356 Cabriolet. Yes, life can be tough!
Next is probably the most comfortable car in the rally: a Citroen 2CV Charleston, that lives in Australia but has travelled all over Europe and now likes to try some Chinese asphalt for a change. Roomiest car of the post-war competitors is without a shadow of doubt the 1953 Studebaker Conneastoga Wagon, it will draw lots of envious looks from cramped seated co-competitors. And finally the earliest postwar car: a 1946 Rover 16 that after transporting countless British brides now finally likes to check how brides in China look like...!
Stay posted while they all prepare for the big 4C (Classic Car Challenge China)
