Founder of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Bill Warner sent out a 'desperate' press release to look out for the dreamcar of his younger years when he was still involved with Road & Track as a photographer. The 1957 minimal desgin by Robert Cumberford found its way to prestigious events as le Mans, Monaco, the East African Safari and last appeared at Watkins Glen, qualifying for the 1978 United States Grand Prix Formula 1 race. . But now it is lost. He does not refer to the mock-up Cyclops in the lobby of Road and Track Magazine's editorial offices in california as that car doessn'r run. Bill Warner wants the real thing and like to have it at the next March 9-11 Amelia Island Concours. Any traces? Let Bill know at [email protected]
