Throwback Thursday: Double Sheerline Find

In the 15 years of PreWarCar.com/ PostWarClassic.com we received countless photos of unidentified cars. In general presented a 'Mystery'. Pictures of cars in all kind of phases (from new till near oblivion in a scrapyard). Sometimes we can solve the 'riddle' but more often - way more often -  you, our readers, know exactly what car/part it is!
A short time ago we got an email from Theo Barten who spotted a beautiful yard find and asked us what car it was. First thought was Prewar! but then a tickle in the back of our mind made us think of a little story from nearly two years ago (by the way this was at the same location as where we found our Talbot K78 Saloon):

EARLIER TEXT:   A Double Sheerline Find

When visiting a friend in the south of the Netherlands (Charles van Lookeren Campagne) we stumbled over these giant Austins at the back of a nearby warehouse. Not in use for many years. It appears they have been left halfway a restoration as both cars have good paintwork but both had a dismantled interior.  As if somebody wanted to start a marriage limo company. Presumably his own marriage collapsed while getting round doing this twin resto job.

We are still always interested in new mysteries so send them in!
