For introducing the new models for 1955, a Dutch Ford dealer thought it a nice idea to organize a parade. And what better spectacle when the line of cars will be led by a marching band. But not just any band: these are the Dagenham Girl Pipers, who happened to be in town. When the Dagenham Girl Pipers were founded in 1930 they were the first female pipe band in the world and, being great performers, the band still exists today. But obviously they were also many jokes about the girls, one of the oldest perhaps from the man who confessed: "I've only been unfaithful twice... once with the barmaid at the pub and once with the Dagenham Girl Pipers."
