Friday on my mind ( Upd. 1961/2? Pontiac Tempest Coupe ?....?)

Do you know the great photos by Andrew Bush? Since 1989 he is making portrets of  people at the wheel, who all seem to enjoycomfortable their 'bubble of personal space' .
For a moment we considered to present this car as tomorrow's puzzle but decided it was too easy. Still we wonder if you would have had it exactly right... So as a mental tune up for the Saturday puzzle, please tell what car these two friends are using.  We will tell you later today which car it is.
