Holden rock to Birdwood run

Way back in the early 1990s we paid a visit to the National Motor Museum of Australia in Birdwood, S.A. Twenty years later two things stand out in our memory of that visit. One was a small building in which a model maker was working, who made beautiful scale models of Mercedes and Jaguar cars. But what made it memorable was that he very loudly played records (no cd’s yet) of classical music. Very inspiring! The other memory is this impressive Holden (1948 FJ?) carved out of a rock. We wonder if both are still there? Perhaps if you take part in the bi-annual Bay to Birdwood Run on Sunday 25 September 2011 you can check for yourself. Please let us know!
