Review of 'Harnessing Horsepower' by Michael E Ware: One of the greatest rally drivers of all time, Pat Moss Carlsson had a highly successful show jumping career (including being a member of the British team) before moving into motor sport, going on to become European Ladies Rally Champion no fewer than five times. In 1960 with her co-driver Ann Wisdom she won the Liège, arguable at the time the toughest rally of all, a win possibly as iconic in motor sport as her brother Stirling's famous one in the Mille Miglia.
The early chapters give an interesting insight into life in the Moss household in the horsey years, for both Stirling and Pat. Her first outing in a competitive event with Ann Wisdom was a local treasure hunt which they won because they were the only team to find a worm! (continue at READ MORE)
