Sixty-seven years ago, in June 1955, Mercedes-Benz launched their first COE (cab–over-engine) truck, the LP315. The new lay-out of the cabin allowed the truck to be used for long-distance transports with two or more drivers. One at the wheel, the other(s) asleep. The main photo shows a truck-and-trailer combination operated by Carl Dinkelacker brewery in Stuttgart, but do have a look at the interior of the LP315. It really shows how creature comforts have changed since 1955!
