How would you like it? Rare, medium or well done?

Here's your entry ticket for next year's Pebble Beach (this year probably a bit ambitious): a fabulous fastback coupe from the grand chef Saoutchik, based on a sporty 1949 Talbot Lago swb T26 Grand Sport chassis. Perhaps more astonishing than any of the other cars in the Baillon sale. The car is missing the best part of the left side. With a collapsed roof and a tail section that had dropped off it had a daring estimate of  Euro 400-600,000. It didn't happen. The hammer created a final price of Euro 1,700,000 roughly 300-400% the estimate. Most interesting are the speculations of what will happen with the car. Will it remain 'as is' and come on show in a wellknown museum of contemporary art? Or will the new owner take a deep breath and a spanner and start a most interesting reconstruction. Future will tell.
