Recently we reported about Chevy's centennial and the cars exported worldwide, including India. Frequent contributor Harit Trivedi reacted by sending these nice photos showing Impala's in India. The main photo showing the wedding of an unknown maharaja; the car a 1960 Convertible. Now it is easily thought that this one Impala maybe was an exception in this country. Not so, check this petrol station of Vinod Motors Pr. Ltd. They were representing lots of companies Meadows, Bedford, Lambretta and Chevrolet. The firm Mico - Harit explains, was a Bosch undertaking but not with a majority in shares; this relation is still existent. We understand Vinod Motors Pr.Ltd. lasted until 1981. But nowadays there is still yet again a dealer with the name Vinod Motors active in North India. However for a choice of Chevies you now should turn to the local importer (be sure to listen to the pleasant jingle)
