Healey happiness

The car is a 1960 Austin-Healey Sprite, also know as "Bugeye". This photo was shot somewhere on the Oregon (USA) coast.  If it had been up to the citizens of Oregon, Hillary Clinton should have been the new President of the USA. Back in 1964 they voted for another Democratic candidate, Lyndon B. Johnson. Johnson, often referred to as LBJ, was not only known for the war in Vietnam, but also known for his "War on Poverty".  The lady in this picture  does not look like she is suffering from any poverty. In contrary, she looks very happy and is obviously enjoying life. This picture from 1965 or 1966 is all about happiness. Her smile, her relaxed attitude and the obviously better weather than we have in Europe these days, makes me smile too. The photographer, John Atherton, describes her as "a favorite friend". Well, I guess John is her favorite friend too and she likes his "Bugeye" very much. I wonder what came out of this story..  Photo courtesy: John Atherton
