Maseratis make it to the Pantheon

Another touristic tip-off for you from us here at PostWarClassics. The Pantheon in Basel may only exist in its current classic car shape for a couple of years; it has proven to be well worth a visit every now and then. You’ll find a garage, showroom, conference place, restaurant and museum there, but we especially like the exhibitions that take place at the former Swiss machine hall. Last year saw a gathering of Zagato bodied cars there, but there were also some excellent displays of barn finds, Swiss coachbuilders, cars of the Klausenrennen and – of course - Ferrari.

Latest, and 21st, exhibition that has landed in the three-story round building is all about Maserati. And once again, the people from the Pantheon have found some real gems to show. There are early single seat racers, later special bodied ones, OSCAs but also those built under Citroën’s and Fiat’s wings with some unusual cars, too, some 30 cars in total plus some Maserati motorcycles “Which are actually no Maserati motorcycles - more of this in the company's history in the brochure for the exhibition.”, or so they say…

The exhibition took off on 22 October when it was officially opened by one of the Alfieri’s but runs until 15 April next year.
