Mercedes 190SL barnfind, a squirrel´s home

Try to imagine: you are a squirrel living in cold, cold Switzerland. After some research, you found a barn in the middle of nowhere. As you are a little squirrel you have no problesm entering the barn and are faced with a long row of old cars in the dark. There are two boring Renault 21, an ugly american sports car from the 1980s, an old Renault phaeton from around 1915, and this beautiful Mercedes 190. THe squirrel made a statement by choosing white SL. This beautiful example was delivered new in 1961 in Switzerland, sold to the last owner in 1974 and last driven in 1991. The squirrels used to store walnuts in the battery compartment, where they were found by Christoph Grohe.  Now this car is for sale, and what counts for many good barnfinds, the big question is: restore or keep as is? In this particular case, the outer shell seems too good to restore it and we would opt for a mechanic refurbishing. Let's see what's the judgement of the  eventual new owner!
