22:00 Arrival of the first car in Rome.

Today the Mille Miglia participants drove from Rimini to Rome, essentially following the old consular road which gave its name to another famous rally, the Via Flaminia.

Italy is such a great place for touring. The roads are not that well-kept but the scenery greatly compensates largely for it. Driving a classic car you will get the thumbs up from everybody and a laissez-passer from the police. Park your car on a piazza and enjoy your lunch in a simple restaurant, often with the TV at a volume that equals the enthusiasm the chef has put into his food. Italians love architecture and know-how to add character to any building. Go for the smaller hotel or a luxury agriturismo, let the time slip by and the wine slip in. Enjoy the scenery, the perfumes and the hospitality.

Just take your classic car, join the Mille Miglia or any other rally in Italy, or just go by yourself and enjoy the time!
