A nice post-war pre-war mix in Bassano del Grappa. Since 20 years the Mitiche Sport rally is a highlight in the rally calendar in Italy. Sixty cars with participants coming from USA, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Belgium, France, Spain, Netherlands and of course Italy. It was a refined mix with the finest automobiles from the pre- and post-war era: Alfa Romeo RL Targa Florio, AR 6C 1750, Bugatti T13 Brescia, Bugatti 37a, Bentley Speed six, Invicta, Wolseley and lots of post-war beauties: Ferrari 500 Mondial, 166MM (two!), Maserati A6GCS (two!) , Siata Pescara, Moertti 750 Sport, Osca, Ermini and so on and on. The rally went through rolling hills from Asolo into the Dolomites. From Asiago over the Pasubio pass and then to the Villa "Marzoto " . Gianni Marzotto is known as two time winner of the Mille Miglia in 1950 and 1953, both on Ferrari.
