To continue the mystery theme, we found this photo in our own files and can only remember it was supposedly taken in Belgium. That's a mighty C-type and the 'Ecurie Francorchamps' or 'Ecurie Nationale Belge' had one too. We have a feeling that car originally was yellow in colour though, while this one seems to be white - or isn't it?
There's also a vertical line running along the body which doesn't fit in with any of the other pictures we could find of C-types. And the one-piece Le mans style wind screen - obsolete too? Then there's the race number 12. We couldn't find any other C-type in the impressive data from the Racing Sports Car files with a number 12 that could possibly correspond with the car seen here.
And so here we go: a mystery that may be solved by one of of you perhaps?
