Right on the heels of last Mondays racing Cadillac, we found these photos of another Caddy in our mailbox. Yet we think this one would have a hard time competing in Le Mans! The photos were sent to us by Peter Vrijaldenhoven (nephew of car historian Frans) who took them in Carrara, Italy. As Carrara is the heart of Italy's marble industry it wasn't hard to trace the origins of this work of art. It was made by Gilbert Baladi who started this project in 1989 and it took him 15 (fifteen!) years to complete the Cadillac. It seems the Caddy is now for sale, but before you start thinking that it would look nice in your garden, remember that it weighs 16 tonnes!
