After Frontline Developments resurrected Great Britain’s archetypical sports car – the MGB, Revology will be doing the same in America. They give the classic Ford Mustang a new lease of life and call their creation ‘a postmodern interpretation of the original’ and say this car is the first true replica of the Mustang using modern technology to improve performance, safety, reliability, and comfort.
You may not see it at first sight, but the all-new Dynacorn steel body used is equipped with a long, long list of modernizations. Under its bonnet you will find a five litre V8, featuring an electronic engine management system and electronically controlled transmission. Suspension uses a three-link design at the rear, similar to that of modern Mustangs. There are powered disc brakes on all wheels, there is a dual chamber master cylinder, rack and pinion steering, side intrusion beams, a collapsible steering column, three-point seat belts, and a fuel pump inertia shut-off switch.
What’s more: the car boasts remote keyless entry, power door locks, power seats, tilt steering column, intermittent wipers, digital message center, remote trunk release and even Bluetooth, much of it integrated into the ‘intelectronic’ instrument cluster with message center and LED lighting. Prices start at $119,500 and, oh. It comes with warranty, too. All details here. Question is: is it better then the real thing?
