One for the rallying crowd

The standard disc brakes and good driving capabilities of Triumph´s TR3 made it an excellent rally car. Both Maus Gatsonides and Paddy Hopkirk drove one to Monte Carlo and did well. The TR3A was a slightly uprated version of the TR3, recognisable by its wider grille. It also had a bit more comfort and a larger engine. The one shown here is a 1960 TR3A, built to Works Replica specification and comes complete with all the stuff you need for beating the competition. We saw it in the lot list of Coys, who will auction it at Ascot, tomorrow October 2nd.
