At first we weren’t sure if we would present this photo on the PreWar or on the PostWar pages. In the back is Ford’s ´999´ the famous 1902 racing car that was first driven by Henry Ford and later by Barney Oldfield. But then we decided it should really be postwar, as it also shows Jim Clark behind the wheel of his Ford-powered Lotus 38 just after his 1965 Indianapolis win. Sitting behind the ‘wheel’ of ‘999’ is Colin Chapman, the creator and genius behind Lotus. What we don’t know is who is posing with the Ford GT40 in the background. He looks familiar, but we are not sure. Can you tell us?
