Looking ahead to Rétromobile, we wanted to make you aware of a little car that will be on exhibit there and that may deserve an introduction. It’s the unique Chausson CHS that was sold as a project car at Silverstone auctions a couple of years ago, together with plenty of spares and boxes full of history, including all of the blueprints and manufacturing details. Its story is fascinating, being conceived by Chausson, a manufacturer of radiators and steel body panels annex coachbuilder based in Asnières-sur-Seine. But it ended up in the UK early in its life, when engineer Tom Delaney brought it over. Delaney had some very serious plans with it, but they all led to nothing. He did keep it for decades and the car only returned to its native France after the auction sale. The miniature four-wheeler is now resplendid in its former glory and albeit tiny, we think it will be one of the great stars of the show. Read more on Rétromobile’s own write-up about the car.
