Ride, Sally, Ride!

Suppose you own a 1965 Ford Mustang and want a personalized licence plate, there's nothing better than the one above. 65Sally, seen here on a plate from Alberta, Canada of course refers to the R&B song 'Mustang Sally, written and first recorded by Mack Rice in 1965. According to Wikipedia the song probably started as a joke when singer Della Reese wanted a new Ford Mustang. Rice called the early version 'Mustang Mama', but changed the title after Aretha Franklin suggested 'Mustang Sally'. The song became famous when Wilson Pickett recorded it in 1966, but we found this great version by Mack Rice and Solomon Burke on YouTube. Turn up the volume and enjoy!
