Rometsch bodied Alfa with Studebaker switch? (upd. Chrysler corp switch)

Robert Piltch writes: Perhaps your readership can shed some light on the origins of the ignition switch which I removed from my '34 Alfa 6C 2300 Pescara w/Rometsch coachwork. I included the photo of "German Automobile Coachwork" by Claus Benter and Halwart Schrader which has the photo of the car on page 121 (photo attach.), they dated the body circa 1951. Also included is a photo of the car presently and several views of the ignition switch. It is felt that the switch  could have a German or Northern European source of manufacture, as opposed to Italian provenance, and perhaps American as well (maybe Studebaker '48-'51)! The s/n that I supplied in one of the photos is the only numerical data found to date." Anybody who can help?
