Many 'afficionados' and 'car collectors' tend to show political correctness with old cars. For instance when you own a 300SL: like with the one depicted above. Most of us would only show up with a million dollar car like that at any occasion after a full restoration. Not so our Northern Californian friend & reporter Peter Irlenborn who will drive his Mercedes 300SL (traded for a fine Voisin in similar condition) down to the ground. Here showing up at Marin County Cars & Coffee, July 2015. And people envy him for that. He has the guts to be himself. He has wings of confidence. Wings of a gull to be precise.
