There's a new supersonic in the making, BUT.

Yesterday you may have read yesterday about the new hypersonic which is patented by Airbus ans of which is said that it will bring down travel time London - New York  to one hour..! Awesome! But aside that it probably will take around 25 years to get the idea of the ground, flying and landing again, the thing looks more like a last century Mars comic book adventure than something of the future. And not nearly as dramatic as super or sonic like the two industrial highlights - Citroën DS and Concorde - of half a a century ago. Come on Airbus designers, the idea to build a 3500 mph jet is not bad. But we would like to get you back tot the drawingboards and create soemthing truly spectacular.
