As explained in our earlier feature "Eucort Ladies", these cars produced in Barcelona had a poor reputation due to bad quality materials. This was hardly to avoid if we consider that the Eucort were produced in the early postwar years. The total production between 1945 and 1950 is estimated at 1.500 units, but untill recent date only two were known to survive. One in a private collection - a first series two cylinder, restored and running- and another in the Salvador Claret Museum, this last car being a second series Taxi with the three cylinder engine of the "Victoria" model. A few days ago a third unit was discovered in a curious collection with interesting cars. This car seems to be another ex-Barcelona Taxi, as the body is similar to the one in the Claret Museum. Two details make us frown: the huge spoke wheels were never used in the Eucort cars and the bonnet badge, which apparently is not the original one. Perhaps an Eucort body on an older prewar chassis? No ansers for the moment , as only these two low quality photos are available.
