Last day for Christmas. The Rover has to perform winter duties now for the third year in a row. We did some work on the body and floors that tend to 'Superleggera' conditions so we added some alloy patches in places that can't handle welding any longer... Also the engine enjoyed a tune-up and reacted thankful. It starts up and murmles like a dream. You may have noticed the missing sparewheel cover. The 40 year old elastic cord keeping it tight lost its strenght. . . Luckily an attentive passer-by saw the Rover branded wrapping lying on the street and was so kind to ring our doorbell and hand it over! Further we are fighting dashboard gauge failures. Light corrosion of the printed wiring and the ultimate flimsy structure of the oil gauge is causing small headaches. But further P6 behaves like a queen. We'll keep you posted.
