If the phrase ‘All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others’ goes, then we’d like to add to it ‘All classic cars are equal but some classics are more equal than others’. And, boy, does it go for this little thing of sheer beauty! Dare we say that this motorized jewel, hand built from aluminium, glass, fabric, rubber and steel, presents the automotive world at its very best? It was of course built in the early 1950s, in a land where self-propelled dreams were turned into reality in workshops everywhere across the country. But even there the combination of fine mechanicals and elegant body styling not often came together so beautifully. And then you haven't even come across its face! Oh – it had an unusual fate, too. Of course it did. Don’t all things of utter attraction have that? We'd fall for it, any time, any where.
