Tough to crack car puzzle #178

This is an oddball. It’s from a well-known manufacturer which is not exactly known for its progressiveness. They like to carry on as it was before. Keep calm and carry on, we’d almost say... But – there’s always a but isn’t there? – that doesn’t necessarily say they haven’t tried to move things forward in the past. Oh no. In fact there are some very nice examples of cars from this company, dating back to say the 1960s, which show some cool creativity and modernism. It just didn’t work for them.

But the car seen here is one of those creations. It was made with a little help from outside, and we’d love to hear from you more about that. What do you know about it?
