Tough to Crack Car Puzzle # 24

This aerodynamic sports coupe was made in the USA. It looks very nice, so it’s a pity only the one prototype was made. It has a tubular space frame, fiberglass body and gull-wing doors. Originally it had an Alfa engine and transmission, but the engine was later replaced with a Buick V8. The name of the company that made it consists of six words and this car got its name from the first letters of those six words. Can you tell us what it is; the name of the company that made it and when it was made? We are also interested to know if it still exists!
