Tough to Crack: Puzzle #106

Now, what have we got here? Distinctive motor, isn’t it? It was the promising first product of an up-and-coming coachbuilder back in its day, but it did not succeed and just a few cars were built. The reason? It was deemed way too expensive at £1,500-ex taxes. And so, for his second car, he chose a different approach, which seemed to work too. The team could hardly cope with demand. But then, with production in full swing, terror struck. The man was tragically killed behind the wheel of his own creation.

Know what we are talking about? How many were built and where? What kind of brocade was used for its seats and how long the optional antenna was? Or do you own a rare survivor? Please surprise us with some inspiring answers as there is a lot to tell about this particular man and machine. Post your answer in the box below before Monday April 6 and you may become the winner of this week's post-war puzzle, which would earn you the infamous PostWarClassic T-shirt! Be careful though, check the Rules under 'Read More' first. Results and source of photo will be published next Saturday, April 11. Enjoy your Easter weekend!
