This week's puzzle is an automobile that was made by a company that came into being in 1958. It was formed out of six engineering companies, all of which had been part of a large airplane factory. This new automobile manufacturer was named after a group of stars in the Taurus constellation, (representing the six original companies), although the name is not English, we grant you that. The first models were small very cars that sold well in the home country, but were banned from the US after one magazine rated it "the most unsafe car on the market." Our puzzle car was launched in 1966, although the one shown here is from several years later. They came in 2-door; four door; coupé and station wagon versions. This one was imported in the US, although it was quite rare, possibly because of its predecessor. Can you name make, model (in Europe it had another model name than in the US)? Then send us your answer before Monday, August 13, mention Postwar Puzzle # 42 and please use no more than 100 words. Have a great weekend, and let's hope for clear night skies!
