Unapproved classic beauty?

A shot by Robert Huffstutter showing a fine MG TD, or is it a TF? Based on the louvres we think it must be TF, but there may be other giveaways. While studying the details you may have stumbled over the deadly dangerous legs of the driver. Robert explains about Billi that she was not only a model yet also a true afficionado of great - at that time not yet classic - cars. That is to say the photo was shot in the early sixties in the San Diego area and a let's say a seven year old MG probably was looked at as an old, nearly classic sports car. However today the MG's  built prior to 1935 (?) and after 1939 are still not 'approved' as classic by the Classic Car Club of America.

Let's hope the picture will wake them up.
