Last week's Techno Classica as usual offered bizar numbers of bizar priced classics. Fleets of 911s, Mercs, Ferraris, Lancias, Maseratis and more. We like to show you a few oddballs, a few examples of the less expected cars in Essen. Like the fine 1950 Jowett Javelin Roadster with lots of rallying history gathered Downunder. Especially in the early evening light the Yorkshire creation looked fabulous, casually parked casually between tin from Zufenhausen and Untertürkheim. The car wasn't cheap at Euro 47,500 but seemed in superb fettle. Equally british and not less beautiful this 541R Jensen that we found on the outdoor Bier & Bratwurst market. Best scrap of the show were these remains of a Stanguellini 1000 Corsa Junior showed by Christophe Pund (when you come to restoring it, it will look like this...) . One german car we like to show you. Not only beause it was in unrestored condition. More because of the registration, PRE 501 (shown by Bruno Vendiesse / Jack Braam Ruben). Pre 501? When is that? We checked various websites and of course Levi's own yet without getting a proper answer. On to the next, an unrestored 2CV is one thing but a barnfound 2cv Sahara is the best 4x4 find by far...
