An interesting message from reader Luis Pallás. He wrote: "In an antique flea market I found a set of six photographs of a microcar taken in Barcelona at around 1953. In photo 1 you can see a view of the vehicle with a license plate that did not correspond to any legal in Spain in those years, but with the letters MTR. That could perhaps refer to the constructor? Photo 2 shows the car seen from behind with the engine in the rear position. Photo 3 shows the car next to a SEAT 1400 (the well-known FIAT license) and because of its size it makes me perhaps think more of a kid's car than a microcar for normal use. Photo 4 shows the perfect interior finish and a Peugeot Barcelona's taxi from those years in the background. Photo 5 shows the rather elaborate dashboard and photo 6 a detail of the single-cylinder engine that does not correspond to any of the produced in Spain. I am interested in identifying the vehicle and its characteristics if any kind reader knows them."
Well, we are interested with you, Luis! It doesn't ring any bells here either, which does trigger all of our senses. So there we go: are there any readers who may know more about this particular (micro)car?
